Clearly showing that the ETG community is not just large, but very active as well, already more than 200 EtherCAT development kits have been sold – about 75 % slave and 25 % master kits. Most developers have chosen to attend the implementation workshop, and some even travel literally around the world to participate: A recent workshop in Germany was joined by ETG members from Australia, France, Israel, Liechtenstein, South Korea, and Switzerland. While the majority of workshops still takes place in Germany, there have been workshops in the USA as well as in Korea, meeting the growing international demand for EtherCAT.
